The Angers Ralliement plaza now free from cars

A big change in Ralliement plaza is underway : the place is now strictly forbidden to cars. A retractable plot set up in Chaussée Saint-Pierre street prohibits now the access of the plaza to cars. From now, the core of down town is entirely free for pedestrians, bikers and the new streetcar. So the most polluting vehicule is "out the way" for the pleasure of the future restaurant's customers located at the corner of the plaza.

Others embellishments are on works too. A company has started to set up the three fountains with pieces of black stones. Within a few month, they will be in function. The inhabitants will ear the babling of the enlighted water which will give, during summer evenings, feeling of coolness nearby. Zones for vegetable elements are yet marked (according ot many visitors, the place looks rather mineral) and, maybe before summer, trees will be planted there.

The last element not visible on pictures will then reign : calmness only interrupted by the happy bell of the streetcar.
